Ava DuVernay to Direct HBO Fashion Film

Selma director Ava DuVernay will be directing and co-writing a film about a 1973 fashion show at the Palace of Versailles. "The Battle of Versailles" tells the story of the fashion show that put American designers and African-American models on the map. Based off the book "The Battle Of Versailles: The Night American Fashion Stumbled Into The Spotlight And Made History" by Robin Givhan.
